The Second Saturday of the Month Milonga has adopted a new great name: ”Flor de Milonga”.

This event continues to be held at the River Oaks Pilates Studio every Second Saturday of the Month, with Mario, Grace and other local tangueros as hosts.

Come dance with us to the best DJ’s tunes, with wonderful people, in a great location, and colorful studio. Don’t miss it!

Editor’s note: “Flor de milonga” can have two meanings. In regular Spanish it means “flower of the milonga”, while in Lunfardo it means “what a great milonga!”.

Argentina at the iFest 2012 – Two Weekends – April 21-22 and April 28-29

The Argentine Tango Club has been hard at work collaborating with the creative team of the Houston International Festival, or iFest, to bring the best of Argentina to Houston for this year’s festival in April 2012. Renowned bandoneonist Hector Del Curto will perform with his Eternal Tango Quintet and dancers. There will also be performances, outdoor milongas and mini-lessons during the festival to highlight the local tango community. There promises to be something for everyone! Please mark your calendars for April 21-22 and 28-29 and make plans to attend! Festival Hours: Saturdays and Sundays 12pm to 8pm. iFest is located in downtown Houston: City Hall, Tranquility Park and Sam Houston Park areas.There will be a special milonga on Saturday, April 28.
